An old manual in a very modern setting: excellent use of available lighting with shadows cast on both wall and side table.

A cribbage board and a very old, well used pack of cards as well. Love the set up and shuttered shadow, Sandra (apologies to anyone with a lisp)

The strangeness of the real. That light is wonderful.
Just a thought - you've got the true vertical line of the left hand side of the bands of light, I think if this was mine I might try skewing the bottom left corner down a few degrees to get the skirting horizontal. I suspect that it wouldn't jump out as manipulated, and would make the composition sit even more satisfyingly in the frame.

Very many thanks, everyone - and also thank you to Moira for the suggestion. I will most definitely be giving it a try.
