Hi all. Well my Highland trip seems so long ago now, last April in fact, but thought I'd revisit a few pictures that I took way back when. These are of a one of the many Falls in the Highlands, this being one of the most commercial, but also one of the hardest to creat a good composition, as view points are very limited. Shin Falls is on most tourist maps, and a very popular stop off for eating and drinking etc. I hope to visit the Highlands again someday, and visit many more prime locations for photography, as so many others on here have done.
Hope you like this little set, and thanks as always, for your kind comments and votes on my recent uploads.

All the best to all,

John Smile

I think my vote goes to V5, I'm in a b&w mood at present and it works well with the twig textures here.
I like the exposures you've used on the water, there's a sense of the power and weight.

Good takes of these rugged Highland falls John.
I have often said I would visit these falls.
But I get enough falls in Leith !!

Enjoyed them all John - I agree with Malc on V1 and V5 - Quite a lovely place to visit and not a blonde or brunette in sight - (Big sigh)

excellent set, the lighting in v1 and frothy waves in v2 and 3 add impact to well composed images.

You're right it is a very difficult to get a good image of these falls as you just can't get into the best positions. Glad you enjoyed your first trip to the Highlands.

A good set of images John, good details and light in V1, like the water movements in 2,3,and 4.
