I saw this pair of shoes hanging from a very tall tree, it did make me laugh. I took a few photos, but they don't look as "funny" as I saw them from the distance. V2 is the location of the shoes, shows the 'scale'. Because it was a gray day, not much colour in it , so I turned it in B&W, still not very interesting.. any advice, please? Thanks.

V 2 good for the setting but your closer inspection in V 1 makes the better shot,
I was going to say well spotted but I guess you could hardly moss them.
Least they'll get a good airing up there and perhaps stilt man be be along to retrieve them in die course![]()
.
Ronnie.
The mind boggles, but it looks like a childish prank. V2 for me.
We have the same scene where I live.
V1 works well for me.
V2 for me, but I would crop out the houses, leaving the top of the trees. Brighten the shoes, increase vibrance, and theres decent sky color and detail. V1 for me lets us see the shoes better, but it loses the context of the environment, and colour.
This is very common here, - schoolkids pranks.
Check the size, if they fit, take them down!
Regards
Willie
Thank you,Willie. "Check the size,.."? You need to call fire brigade to get that high...
. Thank you for your MOD.
Thank you, Paul. What do you think of "Shoes on fire". I got the idea form Roinne's "airing up", just for fun..
Thank you,Ronnie.
Thank you all.
a pair of tied together shoes on a wire is usually a sign of the availability of drug sellers in the area. Not sure if this is the case in your shot.
Thank you Ken. I didn't know...That is really awful, the tree is actually near the children's play ground just inside the King's park, Retford. It is not a good idea to get the children involve in drugs when they are not capable to make decisions on such matter, but it would be too late when they realize they are hooked... There is another pair of shoes hanging on the same tree as well..
I wondered were my shoes went! Like V1 straight to the subject.
