This photo was in a local park a couple of years ago and we were quite pleased how it turned out.
Just had a slight crop and colour adjustment.

Lovley simple image
Totally agree! Pure photography with minimal ps work. Like it.
Thanks all for your comments and clicks.
Perhaps I should have added that the shot was taken at a distance hence the slight grain to the picture.
Thanks Ian for the mod very nice idea
Realised I hadn't actually commented on this Julie! As Jude said, it works fine as a straight photograph - it's a beautiful picture of Shona and one she'll love when she's much older no doubt. She's such a pretty girl (must be something about Shona(h)s!!
Had a go at a few mods but couldn't really come up with anything worthwhile. For the sheer hell of it I added one anyway
Thanks R love the mod and love the Shona(h) comment made me smile.
lovely image of childhood Julie, almost looks like yu've shouted "OI" and caught her as whe turned around.
is this one of the models you mentioned? Looks very photogenic.
Yeah - a lovely shot that she will enjoy in a few years. Probably hate it now - I hated shots of mw ehn I was that age....and still do!
Yes Ade this is my youngest daughter taken at Oakwell Hall. In 2003.
She is also on the Magical picture and that was a couple of weeks ago. My oldest is not as easy to take unless she has been in make-up for two hours lol.
ah ha - so you get 2 completely different characters for the price of one! sounds good.
when it gets a bit nicer - spring/summer - could have a go at some outdoor portraits if you like. it's not something I've done really - but got a big reflector thingy and a flash, so we can just see what we can do with those - I reckon in some nice sunshine and the gold side of the reflector, we could get some cracking shots.
That sounds good I have sent a message to your inbox Ade.
This is a lovely portrait of Shona and very natural looking. I think the heavy border takes away a great deal from the image though Julie, I would try a much slimmer and more subtle one ? When I look at the picture I see the frame and not the girl :-$ I find framing very difficult and often feel I skip over the issue and play safe instead of putting much thought into it. I think it's one of the hardest things about digital presentation!
Thanks Angie have to agree on the border. I always find them difficult.
Like the way she is looking off the camera Julie and the light on her hair is beautiful...your exposure has caught the beauty in youth wonderfully.
Well done Julie. A beautiful picture. Click.
Thanks Doug and Bob. Must admit shona takes a good photo.
