I went out with my dad and my grandad today to see some Short Eared Owls and i was lucky enough to get some photos. The owls didn't come very close and this was my favourite photo. I am very pleased because this was the first time i have seen Short Eared Owls.

A beautiful capture! It must have been really exciting to actually be there and watch the owl hunting!

This is a really good effort for your first attempt at a flight shot Ben. I'm so poud of you, and so glad you got to see these majestic birds, well done son.

Super timing Ben - doesn't the colour of the grasses show just what fabulous camouflage the owl's colours are! Smile

Just seen your profile and how young you are - that would have been a great shot for any adult let alone a youngster!
