Spot-on Mick. Nothing wrong with this. Gorgeous colour and detail.
Presumably already on your website?
I'm just glad I'm not a rodent Smile

Hi Mick,

This is good but it looks a bit underexposed and a check in levels confirms it.
I've added a mod. in which I've adjusted that and added a catrchlight to his eye.
If it's not on the website, it ought to be.
Hope this helps.

Bren.

Really good shot, - especially as this is a wild bird. Sharp and well focused, with a good composition. Could only be bettered I think if it was a portrait format to include all the bird.

Ive loaded a mod with space cropped from the left to place the eye on a third.

Very slightly under exposed, and a little cool, so corrected in the mod.

Very slight background noise visible, removed using Noise Ninja. Enhanced eye catchlight that was already there.

Hope this is helpful,

Regards

Willie

Thanks Willie and Bren for your helpful advise and the very good modifications to my photo. I liked the results. I don't realy do anything to my images apart from the odd crop and to sometimes alter the levels!! I'm not too good on the computer and i only use Zoombrowser EX.
Cheers Mick

This looks fine initially, and basically is so. I wonder if you have done something to the background - after looking a while, the background starts to jar a bit - it is so monotone as to be suspicious. I would flick the dodge tool across the eye to brighten the yellow and come in much closer on that head - cropping most o the background.

(hello Tosh - have a good Christmas.)

Liking Jesterclowns mod version. Franks is wild, but not for me...lol. I prefer the softer natural background colour. Stunning capture - well done.
