Spent the whole afternoon trying to get a bee approaching a flower. Finally, it happened!

Still not happy, because the wings aren't in the right place, or frozen enough, but I know that is just luck and getting the flash output at the correct speed...

Hope you like this. The bee carried on and landed safely. V2 is it on the flower.

Maybe I'll try again later...

CHeers, Goggz

wildlife & flowers are a really good subject to do macro on, the bees are working overtime at the moment after so much rain ...
I would burn in gentley in PS the OOF flower to the top & some of the leaves that are OOF around the edge ... giving the main focus to the main leaf, flower & bee ...
nice work SmilePaddy

Tell you what Pete - if i had a shot of this quality and clarity, i would be well chuffed. The sharpness is quite exeptional and as for the composition, well, it speaks for it's self. Quality image sir.

Sorry folks, you were supposed to have a second version to see, but the internet packed up last night, so I'm uploading it now.

THanks for the comments everyone!

Paddy - you are right Smile but I was too lazy to do it Wink

Bun - and you should see the heavy artillery I use, instead of a nice light easy-to-hold-in-one-hand camera like yours! Mind you it was on a tripod Wink

Glynn - flattery will get you everywhere mate Wink

Amazing...........

their bodies always look too big for their wings to me, I wonder how they ever take off. Two lovely shots,
Chris.
