There are three things, not two, that you cannot avoid in this world. Death, taxation... and speeches.
Thanks for looking,

So did he just sing the one song, then?

"Yes, we 'ave no bananas! ..... we 'ave no bananas today!!"

It is indeed true. There were no bananas in the Town Show. The Tyne Valley palm orchards are running a bit late this year...

I thought it was Billy Connelly, but then again aren't all Politicians Comedians....

I'm looking to the rear of both pictures Moira. I like the way that the Lady in the Framed picture on the Wall is leaning in the opposite direction to the main character, and the expression and body language of the old Lady in the BG of V2.

Good shot Moira, well captured and processed, on a lighter note, I thought it was Simon Templar, the saint from years ago. You know who I mean ....

Had he been wearing jeans and a T-shirt Moira,
I would have guessed he was an old rocker.
He might well be at the weekends though !!

He looks an interesting character, Moira, and I thought it looked very much like Billy Connolly, too. Carol

Two cracking candids, Moira, and think V2 just wins it for me - it's that ponderous looking lady in the background I like! Wink

Greetings EPZland, I have been busy with other matters. Cleaning the kitchen floor, etc...
Yes our Mayor does look a bit like Billy Connelly. And he does like his mullet. The lady in the background of V2 is only a couple of years older than me so be careful about the 'old' bit John...
Right, I think it's the hall floor next. Sad

I know that politicians like a clean public image and walk around under a virtual halo. I've just never seen a solid and square halo before!! VERY well composed and shot in V1, Moira Grin

The body language in V2 is so clear - the 'speech'. "You see...it's like this..."...and (hopefully) the crowd falls hook, line and sinker Wink

PS: For me, the third thing that you cannot avoid in this world is the breeze that pops up RIGHT before you take that floral close-up. Diabolical.

Then resumes upon your return. In the distance, you hear a giggle. It's not a happy child. It's...

...The Breeze.
