Approx 45 year old Siberian Elm Bonsai. Grown between formal upright and 'broom' style. I have owned and maintained this tree for more than 25 years, it was originally just a 12" high little bush. With constant pinching and pruning I have created an amazing branch network that is as pretty when not in leaf.
The Elm is now 29" high x 19" across and is even all the way round.
I used my Sony compact DSC 600 with diffused flash and support lighting. Set one metre in front of the backdrop with EV at -1.3, auto white balance and 200 ISO. From a tripod.

Another beautiful shot. My only small criticism is that the dark region at the bottom of the trunk merges a little with the background. You could try lightening that part a little in your image editor.
