This almost works, unfortunately the only sharp areas are the 2 stamens. Maybe using a smaller aperture than 6.3 would increae the dof enough to bring more into sharp focus.
The yellow/purple combination certainly catches the attention.

A very good effort, yellow is certainly a difficult colour to capture perfectly. However I think you have achieved quite a good job, keep on firing.

Looking back at this image after a few days I can see that, perhaps I've become caught up halfway between abstract and the impact image I was looking for.
