The sunrise was weak but as I hung about these clouds came over adding interest and a nice reflection. I whiled away the time watching the wildlife through binoculars while the scene developed.
A very nice composition and I love the the subtle shades of blue throughout.
The brightness on the horizon has allowed the tree clump and it's reflection to stand out as a very distinct focal point in this attractive cool scene, Alan.
I note you are very fond of the portrait format for your landscapes, and it does seem to serve you well.
Lovely early morning blue tones with the reeds pointing the way down to the clump of trees on the horizon, set off nicely with that low lying mist
Gorgeous !!.......beautiful aura !.
Very nice Al , the clouds in the water give this shot added depth and interest , normal high standard throughout the image , would love to get back there soon , take things easy . Kel
brilliant colour and light Al wonderful fg detail love the mist a stunner nice one
It's all been said Al .....stunning
A beautiful part of the highlands, you'r e a lucky man living near here.
Gloriously atmospheric work, Al - love the low POV and composition.
Wow, thanks to Keith for the GA and to Jeremy, Christine and Sylvia for their UAs! PMs to follow. Thanks too for all your kind comments Jude, Ronnie, Chris, Keith, Kel, Andy, Jeremy, Dougie and Sylvia!
Wonderful light and image !
Lovely image Al, great composition with the "arrowhead" shape of the reeds pointing you into the scene.
I think this works superbly Alan. The cloud and their reflection and the reeds all add interest. The composition is spot on leading the eye from the reeds through to that small group of distant caledonian pine trees. Love the gunmetal blue colour as well.
Got to add my badge to the collection.
Big thanks to John and Derek for their UAs and thanks too for your comments Samantha and Phil. I think this is my most decorated image ever!
beautiful composition and stunning colours
Thanks Mark! I'm away on the Isle of Coll this week so trying to get my seascape head on!
the subdued light add an eerie presence to this well composed image. the grassy foreground contrasts well with the fog line.
