Gabura is the name of a small village very close to Sundarban. Few years back people tried to harvest salt from sea water. As a result most of the farming land were contaminated with sea salty water and lost its fertility. Clean drinking water is a big issue. Though the village is surrounded by river but they can’t use the river water for drinking or any other purpose. It’s too salty. People will die if they lose the source of clean drinking water.

This picture was taken at Gabura a small village very close to Sundarban, Bangladesh.
