A nice simple seagull shot. I really like the light in this shot, even though it has a slightly over exposed chest.

as you and Karen have said the whites in the chest are slightly burnt out, but i like the light you have caught it in nice one
A great shot oli well done have a shot just like this from the sea wall and yessssss 3 days to go 
Not an easy subject to capture in strong directional and contrasty light Oli.
If you get the chance to try this again try taking a number of shot with differing exposure times varying speeds and apertures. This way you will stand a much better chance of getting a more manageable image. Its always going to be a compromise tho.
