lovely shot, it would have been even stronger if you could have moved across a little to get the half dome to sit between the branches so as not to obscure the view. but i suppose the main point of concern was not to scare the deer. -- click

The enormity of Yosemite is almost impossible to capture, particularly if any image is small. But this is a beautifully symapthetic image that doesn't try to state the obvious (in this case half dome) but its presence is still significant. And the deer is the focus. Would like to see a version with slightly more presence with the colours but this is a warming image. Really good!

Yes, I was more concerned with not scaring the deer off, but you are right.. I might have a go with the old clone brush and see if I can remove the branch altogether.

Thanks for the comments. I have logged on at work, and it looks a lot darker on the LCD here than my laptop screen at home. Maybe my old laptop screen is misrepresenting the colours, because it looks a lot different at home..
