The very white sky is just too bland for this image. It makes the bird look drab. Little to be done, but you could try brightening the shadow side of the bird a bit with the dodge tool.

Yes I am sure you can see that yourself, the white just dominates and sort of renders the kite unviewable. I have uploaded a mod where I have changed that to allow the kite to be better viewed so that you can see the difference.

It is a magnificent Kite!

Pointing the camera at the sky has caused the bird to be a little underexposed. When in this position, use exposure compensation of about + 2/3.


I have increased the exposure and contrast on the bird, applied some sharpening, and replaced the white background with a gradient.
