I went for a wander about near some poppy fields and I found a load of insects so I decided to do some close-ups as the lighting wasn't that inspiring.

These were taken into the weak sunlight with fill-in flash. It was a bit breezy so I had to wait for the subjects to stop waving about to get a sharp photo.

2 cracking close ups.............I think v1 are six spot Burnets though,
I dont think there is such a thing as a seven spot........I may be wrong..........anyway top work
