Welcome to the club Martin. This is an excellent first upload. I have never had a go at photographing planes but it can't be easy as they move so fast. It's a great angle showing all the hardware underneath and the stuff (technical term) coming out the back of the engine. Good exposure too seeing as you are pointing up into the sky which can often fool the exposure meter.

I have uploaded a mod for you. First of all I flipped the shot so the plane is going left to right. I'm not one for hard and fast rules, saying everything always has to go left to right, but in this case to my eye it just sits more easily that way. This is because we read left to right, so our eyes naturally scan in that direction. See what you think.

It's good you have a frame filling shot for maximum impact but I felt the plane needed just a bit more space to fly into. I cropped down the left hand side and added more canvas to the right and the top.

I hope you enjoy being part of the club and that you get out of it what you are looking for. All the best for the New Year.

Catherine

Thank you for the welcome Catherine. I think I like the 'Flip' side of the Eurofighter better. I was introduced to the club by Sylvia Fresson, such great photographs and so many on the site. I enjoy looking at other photographers pics more than mine, because they are from all over and every subject. I am always ready to learn, you can never learn enough I think, but I have my fair share of Luck.....being in the right place, at the right time, with your settings about right.
Happy New Year.
Martin.

Nice shot, and I like Cathr's idea to flip the image.

Loaded an almost identical mod, with a little more sharpening and contrast, and enhanced the red/yellow from the exhausts.
Also darkened the shy a tad.

regards

Willie

Great shot of great aircraft. The only thing I would like different is a darker sky to set the aircraft off better. The flip works too, but I'm quite happy with what you have presented - lots of hardware slung underneath,

ideally a blue sky with a polariser to darken it - aircraft is a simple shape for a cut out - how about a cut and paste job/ Even the logo is tiny and unassuming.
