...the wind had as normal been blowing from the West across Skye, but the next morning the wind had backed to the North East and a whole raft of Lenticular clouds were slowly drifting down across the Cuillins. This layer had passed Elgol, and there was no meaningful FG to be had, but the clouds were so unusual I thought you should see them.

Amazing. This reminds me of Surrealist images; I suppose the Surrealists were up on a cloud themselves..........

Wow! This is remarkable, it has a sculptural look. Or alternatively the layers look like rock strata. Large is brilliant.

Lovely shot, Dougie, how I would love to see this type of cloud. Check out the front cover of National Audubon Society Guide to Landscape Photography by Tim Fitzharris for lenticular cloud with foreground interest!
