Here's Winston! It's been about a year since we got him now! here's him about this time last year -{ http://www.ephotozine.com/user/supermacrogirl-162099/gallery/photo/d-awwwww-2111... }

Since he was small he's had one of these cat play towars with the rope pole and high up bed. He fit it perfectly then but he's a rather long and tall cat now and he insists on squeezing himself up tight and trying to fit in, and somehow he still manages to look comfortable.

Lovely image, Great pose and nice detail, just a little more space below the paw would be nice.

This is a gorgeous shot - brilliantly caught and I really like the format you've chosen.

I know what you mean, we've had our 'boys' for nearly a year now - they are long and lanky too! I had to mend their bed with staples, but I can't find a tower bed for two! Grin

I would have voted, but as you've chosen to tick the 'Critique' box we are not allowed to! Smile

nice close up detail....they get into all sorts of positions don't they?

if you're after critique, I would suggest that you might clone out the two wooden slats...and perhaps blur the bg a little? Smile

had a quick go at a mod...not very adept at cloning (yet) but am sure someone migh be able to do that bit easily. Applied a blue filter in Lightroom. Smile

This is an exceptionally good shot Beth. All in focus, and youve provided the camera with its absolute favourite colours, black, gray, and white, so it can go wrong!

Some good ideas to blur the background a little, easily done on a layer mask. Its not essential, - just makes sure the viewer isnt attracted to the tiled floor rather than the cat. Ive done this in the mod, and also desaturated the bg a little, and this is really a mono shot.

Just a tiny bit brighter, and a little more contrast improves the shot, - also done in the mod.

Hope this is constructive, and I suppose Happy Birthday Winston?

Well done,

regards

Willie

Super shot, typical of a cat - can get comfortable anywhere as long as its selected humans are around.

I am unsure whether or not you can get off the 'auto' selection on this camera, if you can, have a go as it will help your understanding of photography a lot more. Considering the limitations of your equipment, yuou have some great pictures in your PF and you have a very good eye for a composition. Well done.

A per....fectly good shot of a cat doing what cats often do. Nothing. What else to say.
