This was taken on Sunday night on this weekend's tour to Skye.
In the space of 10 minutes, the sky went from a cloudy mass to this. In 20 years of visiting Skye, this was probably the most unexpected light show that I've seen.
We were in place at Sligachan around 1 hour before sunset and were well placed to shoot the Glen. Compositions had been decided and we were ready for something, but none of us expected this !
Amazingly, we were also treated to a double rainbow over Marsco too - what a great night.
10 second exosure at f16 with 2 Lee ND Grads to hold back the sky. And yes, this is EXACTLY how it looked !
