A jackdaw guarding his nest in the trunk of a pollarded willow tree at Slimbridge, this proud father was on the alert throughout and kept his eye on anyone that went past. Some of you may have seen him featured on epz before, this is the same bird that Looloobey snapped the other week.

Pin sharp and perfectly posed with a wonderful uncluttered background Ed. A fantastic image of this wonderfully dark and handsome Jackdaw. The detail around and in the eye is superb as is the natural colouring which can often be destroyed in post production.

Love the detail and background Ed, had one as a pet when I was about ten, he had wing injuries and could not fly, he lived for 12 years so not sure how old he was as he was an adult when I found him.

Regards

Trev.
