I'm putting this one up for critique, as its very much like yesterdays upload, but instead if clicks I want to know how it can be improved, maybe a touch darker?? maybe a crop here or there.
|What i am looking for is the answer as to why my excellent macros get so little attention? :0 are they really crap? LOL

So you can slag me off as much as you want, I'm up for it.

thanks for looking.

You're up early (or late?)! Superb detail on here, especially in the, er, texture.
I prefer the vertical crop.
Not sure slugs are everyone's cup of tea though.
Smile Lucy

There's nothing wrong with any of your pictures, looking at the votes and comments you receive I don't see that you have any problems. I think so many people put the votes and comment above the actual enjoyment of taking and showing the photos, your welcome message in your pf seems to suggest people should comment everytime they look at a picture, on a personal level I enjoy just looking at some of the superb photos on EPZ yours included without feeling the need, or indeed having the time or experience to comment.

That's got that off my chest, having said all that I also prefer the vertical crop. keep up the good work.

For purposes of attracting clicks and aaaaaws, this probably isn't going to challenge the red squirrels or fluffy kittens, but it's good macro work. Having tried and totally failed to photograph one of these things, I'm impressed.

Great details, but sunrises are more popular than slugs, great with the pin sharp details a very well done picture. There is a lot off hard rules for popularity

I'm probably in the minority, but I do find some slugs very attractive.....look at those patterns, the colours, the shine, the texture! As has been said, it would have been better head-on, and this wouldn't have been difficult, but I think you were going for the "interest" in the back end. You could have picked it up and put it on a single leaf. How else can this image be improved? I haven't a clue.

Thanks everyone,
Its not that I want more clicks or comments, its a bit more critique from those in the know I am after Smile

While I love getting complimentary comments, I do need to know where I am going wrong, as I am sure I am somewhere with most of my shots.

Thanks again for your time..
Luis.
