This is the same juvenile Great Spotted Woodpecker (Dendrocopos major) as yesterday's upload, taken just before it moved to a different perch and the light changed. It is quite clear to see how the juvenile red cap marking has moved back from the top of the beak, remaining only on crown of the head and is showing signs of disappearing completely. The background is a blurred ornamental conifer.
