Common Buzzard.

I came upon this bird by surprise and managed 3 quick frames. A new fence and pathways were being constructed and the disturbed ground meant that earthworms were there for the taking. This chap(ess) was on the ground at the other side of a mesh-fence, but flew up to some freshly-sawn timbers and posed for a few seconds before going back to worm-hunting.

Taken at Greylake, Somerset.

Well taken Malcolm - they are not easy to take on impulse as very often they move off before you can get sorted!! Grin Lou
