How very considerate of the Red Arrows to have laid down across the firmament such perfect and colourful lead in lines (or rather curves) allowing the eye to track straight to the focal point.
As a photographer you couldn't ask for more, Dougie.
The absence of any land mass also adds so much to the total appeal of this beautifully captured moment.
Ronnie.

A rather beautifully composed aeronautical image depicted one of 'if not' the finest display teams in the world. A great swoosh of colour across the skies makes for a rather brilliant image, and with the added bonus of the almost red silhouetted outlines of the jets makes it even more appealing.

Love the composition Dougie - I went to Eastbourne Airbourne yesterday and found it incredibly difficult to get even one image out of the 700 I took in the afternoon!! Smile The vapour trails really make this image.

No matter what we get out of this,
I know I know we'll never forget.
Smoke on the water and fire in the sky.
Smoke on the water...

It is not smoke on the water, but smoke in the sky.... still, this Deep Purple song came to my mind.
Great capture of the Arrows
Johanna
