The composition and colour has real promise, but it looks like you've shaken the camera after you've pressed the shutter. Looking at the water this was a long exposure image - was it hand held? As a very rough rule of thumb take the focal length used and look to the nearest number as a fraction of the shutter speed needed to give a shake free image when hand held - e.g. 50mm = 1/50th sec, 100mm = 1/100th sec, 200mm = 1/200th etc.
nah sherlob i see what your trying say but in my opinion i say i looks better with it looking the way it is. gives it a better feel to it instead of it just being a plane picture of just the river which is great but even better like this but each to there own. great picture mate
Have to agree the potential is there but spoilt by quite serious camera shake
there is nothing sharp at all in the picture which is a pity cos it look a great location
