I haven't seen a shield bug like this one before, with the extended snout, I thought he was rather cute Smile

He is rather cute with that extended snout bit: I winder how many different members of this species you must have captured by now, Carol.

Looks like a cross between a shield bug and a clanger. Excellent shots Carol.

I was reading Bill Brysons book, A Short History of Everything, recently and in it he states that entymologists say the best place to find new species of insect is in your back garden. They think we have only identified about 1% of all the insects on the planet, I think you may have discovered a few more over the past couple of years.
