Both very nice but I prefer the portrait composition. Superb depth to the image and some lovely light and detail in the foreground Mel.

V1 has superb depth and colour to it. I'd be tempted to lose some of the empty sky since the moon is small and not adding that much to the comp, I think it may add even more impact to the image.
