The snow looks as grey as the sky. You could have done with overexposing it a stop or so to make the snow white.
You used the fallen tree as a lead in, but it doesn't seem to lead to anything. Using the path itself as the lead through the trees might have been better, especially if there was a dog walker or someone else in shot down the path.
