Snow Birds

So,
Christmas Eve afternoon and we were in Rhode Island when this message came……...

"There is a man with a long white beard on your roof hammering something."

LOL--- We had asked Melvin, the Amish man who takes care of rooves around here, to put Snow Birds on our roof. Just like him to choose Christmas Eve to do the job----

Well, it is silly Sunday and I wanted to say Hello!

So, Jennifer, years ago my first wife and I were in Chaing Mai, Thailand......I saw a cat on a metal roof....and had to take a photo with my longest telephoto, for the title, of course.

So, your bird on a roof. Yeah.

I love these flightless birds, Jenn - don't make any mess at all!Smile
A well composed image with such clarity and beautifully 'clean' colours.

I much prefer birds that stay still for the camera.

I am wondering what you call them in Britain? Here, we are expecting the birds to control, help slow down the snow skidding down the roof. .?.???

A necessity on the metal rooves.....that snow comes down with quite a bit of force when it slides off the roof.

we call them snow hooks, they are meant to break up the snow and avoid rolls of them.
