Glad you liked the little frilly Iris so much Smile Now I have to find the garden catalogue where I had seen them first.

Here is a reminder of the grim February. Villebois Castle stands proud above our rolling hills and is the nicest landmark on the OTHER side, just outside the Aquitaine. it looks so much better when the frost keeps the usual traffic away.

Yes it's a fairytale castle.Beautiful image.
Well exposed - not always easy to do with snow.
The vivid blue sky is perfect backdrop.

Hope the snow is not too deep annette.
These seven dwarfs will need to stay indoors.
Besides, always thought there was something odd there,
with a girl taking up with seven dwarfs !!
Super shot.
Mick.

The winter snows transform the scene so beautifully if one can overcome the cold, Annette: fine panoramic presentation of this Castle, the detail in the stonework so crisply captured, and with it set against that dull blue sky you have a most impressive and attractive image. Very well done.
Ronnie.

Love that Annette, beautiful shot.

Lovely "fairytale"scene... The snow and castle textures almost merge together... The sky backdrop sets of the castle superbly

I like the formality of this, almost an architectural drawing with a blue sky. A part of France that I don't know, it's on the to-do list...

That's some stunning architecture! The sidelighting has given some good textures throughout. When I saw the thumbnail I thought it was surrounded by sand!

I'm with Anne...I thought it was sand too!

This is one beautifully captured castle, Annette. It's like an illustration in a children's book - which is a compliment, by the way Smile
