Another shot from December, late afternoon, after a heavy snow fall. Photo captured in Pollok Country Park, Glasgow.

Details: ISO 100, 1/125 sec. at f/13.0 with Exp. Bias of +0.33. If time permits, viewing LARGE is I feel worth while.

Many thanks to all who commented on "On Frozen Pond".....I was interested to read your remarks, and I'm surprised at the amount of attention it received: and a very big thank you to Steve ("sparrowhawk") for his User Award which was even more unexpected but so welcome.

This is nothing short of magical Ronnie! Just love the cold blueness and textures of the snow on the ground, coupled with the relative warmth of the winter light and the dramatic flare of sunlight shining through the tracery of the tree branches. Beautifully composed.

Like the way you have composed this shot Ronnie, nice lead in with the two diagonal fences into the park, some very nice light catchment and deatail throughout the image....very nice indeed Geoff.

Perfect capture of the weak wintry light - almost Victorian in appearance, fine image. Wonder how it might look with the figures cloned out to leave just the landscape??
