an awesome image, and choosing a B/W medium is a top choice here. I may have been tempted to Photoshop the wisp of cloud from the left side as it draws the eye from the other subjects and disrupts an otherwise clear sky.

Thank you all for your comments. I am glad you like it.

Yes, the area where these trees are growing is harsh and very hot in the summer (45 degrees and more).

You really are looking at a desert where some underground water flow supplies water for these trees. The flow may be very deep as some trees are said to have roots as deep as 60!! meters.

btw, the tree in the front is not dead although it may seem like that. Little plucks of tine leafs exist and soon the whole tree will be showing leafs all over.

Tha big scary tree has obvously frightened those poor defenceless trees that have bunched up for a hug! :0) Now i've got that out of my system....
