A different view of the pier at an earlier point in the day. Another one from the archives, brought back to life after seeing Ian's [Shutter Speeds] excellent 'moody' shot here. This one doesn't have nearly as much of the lovely movement in the flag as Ians' but maybe next time.

1/30 Sec @ f11 ND Grad Applied

Also trying out a different framing technique too. As ever, all comments [and mods] welcome. Paul

another great shot, composition is nice and again nice to see a different angle, the water looks good enough to slip in Wink

Has a completely different mood to your shot though Ian, I love the movement in yours and the overall tone - sunsets can be quite boring Wink

Cheers all for you comments.

like the use of the vertical post which adds to the overall comp - beautiful light and detail

I've toyed with taking a shot from the other side of the pier 'with the light' and have always plumped for the backlit option. I think this works beautifully - the crop works well, and the composition is excellent. Has to be seen large to appreciate fully.

Pete
