For my art coursework we are doing objects. For our homework we got told to take photos of 3 different groups of objects. This is my best photo from my homework and is in the group souvenirs.

Very well caught - a wonderful group, totally filling the frame.
I think if you used a plain background (perhaps drape a plain piece of material/sheet over a table/chair), you would get an image with just your collection and no other items in shot. That's the beauty of digital, you take take 100 images and choose the best!
