I grabbed this shot whilst setting up my camera at the start of a visit to Werribee Open Range Zoo with my daughter. Even though this was a zoo, this sparrow and all of its family live well off the ample pickings that the visitors leave lying around. The background is an out of focus wall which is part of one of the buildings at the zoo, it seems to compliment the birds colours well.

It just shows that there is beauty in what we see every day and take for granted.
