This spider was weaving it's web in a pot plant.
Looks a nasty piece of work. Errr..the spider, not the photo. I think I'd crop out some of the surroundings, but that's only my opinion.
This is the first photograph that I have submitted. It does look different on the web. The cropping is a good idea. Thanks.
Welcome to epz, great 1st upload.
This photo is totally untouched - in the raw!
Oh...and, welcome Drew.
Good first upload Drew, welcome to ePz. I wouldn't crop the background as you then lose some of the web, which is catching the light nicely. The only thing wrong is that the background is not quite sufficiently out of focus. A smaller depth of field would have sorted that.
If you have control over the exposure on your camera, choose either a faster shutter speed, or a smaller F stop number (larger aperture). If you aren't sure what that means there are loads of threads and articles on here which will give you more information.
Thanks everyone for the welcome.
Ian: thanks for the advice.
a very well Step to EPZ.
Good work there
I agree with Ian, leave it as is because of the web. Good first upload and welcome to EPZ.
