This very good, I see you shot it with an aperture of just F5.6, now I know the shutter speed was slow, but I'd had tried a much smaller aperture just to give me just that little more DOF. It just lacks a little depth IMHO....Great effort all the same.

Really impressive, but as mentioned above, not quite enough depth of field. Also a tad dark on the lh side of the head. But I would be thrilled if I had shot it!

Thanks for the comments folks, had to use my off the camera flash as my macro ring is in the shop hence the shadow, will take your comments on board and try to improve next time thanks again

Fantastic shot...I really like it!
I don't think he's a jumper though. Difficult to tell from this angle but with those two big eyes at the front (did he have two similar behind?) looks like it could be a wolf spider
