Spined Micrathena
Micrathene gracilis

A bizarre critter, this spider was making her way to one of the Star Cucumber tendrils some of you may remember. I like how delicately she used her legs to move along. Note: she has some of her eyes watching my lens! ( a huge eye)
V2 is a more sinister view of this spider-- reminded me of HULK-- she measures about 1/2 inch)

Micrathena likes to capture her prey in a well made circular web hung across paths. Once captured she will kill her prey with a bite and wrap it ail in silk made in that pointy abdomen!

Thank you to Eileen, Johnlw and Leontari for UAs on my previous image, very much appreciated!
