A good effort. I have mixed feelings about the lighting and think a bit of back light would give it more impact. You have shot this outdoors relying on a fast shutter speed and ambient. It has worked quite well, but greater impact is often achieved using a darkened room and flash, which can then be placed off camera to give appropriate dynamic lighting.

However, then there is a lot of mess indoors.

thanks paul, it was indeed shot out in the garden, using available light, untill my better half lets me build a studio in the loft, ALL messing with water, MUST be done outside, BOSSES orders lol

Paul - I have tried exactly the same thing, and I think yours was a really good try. I too can not do it indoors and a don't have an off camera flash so I guess until I do have more space and more equipment - that's that.
