Seeing as it is Silly Sunday and it is good weather for ducks outside I thought this image rather apt for today. This is a male eider duck having a bath on one of the lakes at Slimbridge, he was having a great time splashing around in the water. It's been raining heavily in Gloucestershire for over 12 hours now and we've been experiencing gale force winds, luckily there is no damage or flooding locally as yet. Flood warnings have been put in place by the Environment Agency for the Rivers Avon and Severn for Gloucestershire and Worcestershire, so it is to be hoped we don't get a repeat of Black Friday in July 2007 when a large part of the county was hit by floods. Many thanks for all your comments and clicks on the tulips yesterday, I don't think there will be too many more shots of them this year the bad weather is finishing most of them off!
