i can see what you were after but im not sure it fully came off.

firstly its all a bit complicated with the red stuffin the foreground and the depth of field is too great and its allowing other subjects in the background to come through quite sharply and is taking attention from the spokes.

i think you needed to close in on detail, much tighter framing and use a wider aperature to reduce the depth of field and throw the background out more.

im struck by the young chap in period dress walking into view and thinking what a great shot he would have made with spokes as a background.

its a brave attempt and the venue looks great but im sorry its not working for me.

A good try but the background is cluttered and far too distinct. You needed something like f3.5 or greater and, even then, I suspect the background would not have been far enough out of focus. Possibly widest possible angle, very close and from a low viewpoint?
