"Spring is sprung, spring is here.
Life is skittles, life is beer..."

As soon as I saw this cherry tree that I dog walk around and past several times every day the above ditty intro from Tom Lehrer sprang into my mind, and with this lovely sunny weather has been going around and around in my mind ever since (about the last two days).

V3 & V4 have had more than the usual work done on them as the one drawback to the iPhone 4 camera is the DoF! So did some selective lassoing and applied a Gaussian Blur with a radius of 2 pixels. Just takes away the fussiness of the gravestones and houses without looking too artificial (I hope). Oh! And in V4 I had to clone out an annoying tree that spoiling the shape of the cherry tree, and also some bloke I hadn't noticed. Thanks for spotting that one Lynne!

Beautiful images, Garrath, so glad that Spring has finally reached you! Summer has arrived here, temperatures in the mid 20's and hot sunshine. Carol

You rat, you pinched my next title! Four nice images, but it has to be V1 for me. WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO START USING THE 450D?

I particularly like V 1 here, Garrath: what a statement that fresh blossom makes against the deep blue of the sky. Very well captured.
Ronnie.

What a fantastic cherry blossom tree. Isolating the the three blossoms against the sky makes V1 No1.

With two large, strong German Shepherds carrying my 450D is asking for disaster, whereas my iPhone (5.3 megapixels) is always with me!
