Snaphappyannie thought my Three Bottles with Anemones was too regimental
so today I've done a more haphazard group which I'd probably want to re group
but letting my hair down and await the comments!!!
Many thanks to you all for vs & cs for A Single Anemone.

Gosh! What have I done, Kate? You've certainly gone in totally the other direction this time! Love the background - and the lighting is excellent. But - - less is usually more! Any one of your containers and flowers on their own would work well, I think! However, maybe just remove the brown bottle and yellow pansy? See how it obscures the blue bottle behind it? Also, consider separation between blooms? They are tending to "tangle up" in the middle a bit.
Hypercritical so-and-so, aren't I? Apologies if you think so - but it is offered in the spirit of "constructive" comment.
I am a huge admirer of your work - as you know!!

Love and kisses!!! xxxx

Do you collect old coloured bottles Kate,
I do like this image, but it's the little brown bottle I'm not sure about,
Maybe it would be much better without it.
Come on Kate please tell me to mind my own busines as it's your workWink

A wonderful cacophony of differing shapes, forms and colour, which for me is somewhat to much to take in. Whilst your are a master at observing, composing and capturing beautiful simple arrangements, you have IMHO taken on a little too much. My eyes simply do not no where to start or end.

Sorry Kate, but as much as I love the concept the outcome falls way short of your photographic potential.

Regards Nathan Grin

You have a wonderful collection of bottles Kate and you have obviously taken time to consider your composition. How about trying just three of the bottles, if you wanted more of a group image. You have quite a few combinations you could try there against that white background.Smile So far I think your previous image is my favourite.
Hope you enjoyed your birthday.

Lose some Kate, now too many bottles and not a point of focus. Background and base excellent.

I presume this is mostly a cut and paste image. I wouldn't have thought it until I saw how the light seems to come from different sides on different bottles.I actually think there is a place for crowded images and have no problem with that......peter

A great still life Kate, well composed but I agree the brown bottle and pansy seem a bit out of place and are covering the blue bottle.SmileSmileSmileSmileSmileSmileSmileSmileSmileSmileSmile

ok here is my two cents worth (mind you I know next too nothing about still lifes, flowers, bottels without juice, artificial light and let alone textures.. so i am pretty ignorant as to all the above stuff)
Like Carol I love disorderly flowers Smile so in principle I like it as it is.
BUT what happened to the left one, it has a line around it (yellow) and the other yellow one.. or is it a new pansy outboard model? Wink
And the rough plaster wall behind the white flower ain't much of a contrast, so a screen behind or more light on the white flower might have made it more easy to lift it against the background.
personally, I love bokeh and would just have gotten rid of the background all together by selective focus. But what do I know about table tops, I just take photos of stuff that is there.

Great composition selection of this still life theme Kate. Nice job of your edit, with a super BG, not like some, but I have no problem with! I also like the colours which work well together. James Smile
