i really like the lines in this, the way the sky seems to contradict the direction of the groynes appeals to me. great image as well.

There is a good sky in this shot. Also I can see how you have placed the lighthouse between the posts to include it in the composition. However, something does not quite work for me. I think it is the balance in the tones. There are more dark tones than light tones - the histogram is likely to show a skew beyond midtone to dark tones and some of the blacks look a bit blocked (might be my monitor though). The composition leads the eye along the groynes which is good but there isn't a great interest at the end so the eye diverts to the lighthouse. Hope this is constructive and I have not red voted because I would like to see more mono work on epz - that's what attracted me to the thumbnail. For the reasons above I have declined to vote. Steve.
