Part of me likes this and before we start I definitely ain't no landscape expert.

I'm surprised this hasn't done better, but I wonder if a little dodge on the foreground rocks, probably with dodge brush set to shadow and 2% would just lift them and make the whole thing more dynamic.

At the moment they just lack a little detail.

Comment noted in forum thread and just the sort of advice I need. Will give this a go tonight - although personnally I was never that satisfied with this shot so was actually pleased it got so many comments! I think it lacks a little something (so maybe your suggestion will help), although I would have prefered the shot solely over water without the beach on the right - but then it's not easy to move a sunset....

Nik, that's why I don't paint. I was forever just trying to improve my pic that last little bit until the point I ruined it entirely. Took up photography instead.
