A study of one of yesterdays dogs waiting for the command. The command I imagine would be to relese the dog to go and find the fallen pheasant or other such game bird.

Happy memories of our courting days, with Bill's father's gun dog, the inappropriately named Flash. It would be duly dispatched, and would waddle off at a leisurely pace, without a care in the world. Half an four later it would reappear with a satisfied expression and a few feathers around its muzzle.
I am right-handed, left master eye, so I couldn't shoot straight to save my life. I was always very relieved that I could fire with absolutely no risk of hitting anything.

A lovely alert dog. Amazing how smart they can be. Most dogs can do a lot with praise and food.
