Thank you so much for the votes and comments on my last upload.

I had a really busy day so me and Stan only had time to top up the feeders. But then I had a spare half hour so I took some shots of Stan. Never took shots like this before so I would really appreciate some feed back and advice.

Have a good evening.

Cathy

"Where's The Birdie" I thought when I saw the thumbnail...! "Where's my 'bird-fix' of the day"
Stan is your Terrier - I stupidly thought he was your husband, the way you mention him previously..!
This is a superb image, you could make a living out of pet portraiture, Cathy.

Oh my goodness...I just wanna fluffle him. SO cute. And what beautiful doggy portraiture of him, Cathy Smile

I think you've shot this well. So well exposed and the focus is perfect.

I don't know anything of doggy portrait shots but if I had a niggle here, it would be that I can see the texture of the blue background a bit too clearly. Maybe a wider aperture might sort that out? F5.6? And place him slightly further from the background to further blur it?

What a handsome lad....yes I see what you mean, he does look very similar to Ginger.
Ginger is a larger Yorkie apparently, weighing in at 14 lbs. Very stocky but not at all overweight by her larger bone structure. In doing some reading, apparently Yorkies were originally larger but were bred down in size for "fashion". I'm glad she isn't too delicate.
