A shot from last year when I spent several evenings wandering around the City enjoying the architecture...

This was one of a number of shots of the Lloyds Building - I love the stark nature of the building and the inside out design with all the services and lifts etc adorning the exterior. This particular shot is a detail of one of the concrete & stainless steel staircases.

Love the steely look in this image. You certainly reproduce the starkness of modern architecture. Yet, not having seen the Lloyds building, I would not have totally understood the shot without reading your description. You speak of the lifts, but I cannot discern them, thus I am left with undefined form. On the other hand, there is also something captivating in this image. Cheers,

Thanks for the comment Paul. The lifts don't feature in this particular shot - this is a detail of one of the staircases (I should have made that clear in the description).

The building itself can be seen a little more clearly here
