I intended to shoot a series and make a star trail photo but it was a remote location in Cumber Park and I started to hear too many weird noises so decided to abandon the shoot. I've seen too many horror films!

I really like the silhouette of the trees against that starry night....and must say it would of been great to see them with a star trail.

I really like that line of trees. Like guardsmen. The sky is really nice too, but I think I'd have cloned out that cloud and perhaps pasted a few stars in its place as it's a bit distracting to the eye.

For me the wispy cloud adds an air of mystery amongst the straight lines of the trees and the pinpoints of the stars ... pity it wasn't a bit bigger and a ghostly shape Smile

thanks all...no Henry didn't come out to play...he doesn't like the dark. I should have taken him to fend off all the unpleasant sounds.

I tried a version without the cloud (see V2) I do think it's an integral element

I do like those trees, with the moonlight shining through the trunks - for some bizarre reason it makes me think of a piano keyboard. Yes, I know .... pass the wine again please Wink.

Nice colour V2. Still not sure about the cloud in V1 but it doesn't look quite so prominent on 2nd/3rd viewing as it did on the first.
